I didn't do like most of these 'scalpers' who only obtained it to get a quick buck, I generally wanted this to play it, and having 3 choices to choose from during the Chapter 5 event made the game feel complete and my choice harder. I jumped on Amazon the hour this Special Edition was announced and preordered that day. I am a physical collector, and generally prefer having all of my games physically so it was nice to have that available.

Japan didn't even get Revelations on a cart. While I am pretty critical of Nintendo's and Intelligent Systems business models with this game and series these days, I am very glad that they made this release.

That is kind of ridiculous, and intimidating for new players of the series especially. So this game in total is about $100 with all things considered. So while I got all the core games on one single cart, I still have to spend around $17.99 more for all of the content that's currently announced. I'm not even personally a fan of them splitting a release of this series into 3 releases, and on top of that, throwing a bunch of DLC in the mix known as 'Map Pack 1'.

I don't really like how Nintendo has handled this whole situation. On top of that you get a hardcover art book, which is much much nicer then most art books I have gotten in other Special Editions (Like the first Bravely Default), and a nice slip pouch for your 3DS with the art from the box on it. You get Conquest, Birthright, and Revelations (A month early) all on a single physical game cart for $80 (Retail Price I paid), which is the same price if you bought all 3 digitally or one physical copy and the other two digitally. While I understand, it likely stings even more for me to say it's a fantastic deal, and personally one of the best Collectors/Special Editions I have ever bought.
